The hard work and perseverance of one of the earliest action teams that grew out of community conversations has resulted in another step forward in the development of a Girard Community Center. The Girard City Council and the USD 248 Board of Education agreed to take action by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlines how they will work together to develop a plan for a community center. The MOU includes the appointment of a Board to address a series of questions that were identified during a recent City Council work session.
